By accessing or using UnitCoreTools (the "Service"), which includes our website and our Browser Extensions, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

UnitCoreTools provides web-based unit conversion and calculation utilities. The Service is available via our website and as a downloadable Browser Extension. The Service includes features that allow users to generate temporary, sharable links containing specific conversion data ("Short URLs").

3. Disclaimer of Warranties ("As Is")

READ THIS CAREFULLY: The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. UnitCoreTools and its developers expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Accuracy: We do not guarantee that the results, conversions, or formatting provided by the Service are accurate, complete, or error-free.
• Link Persistence: We do not guarantee that generated Short URLs will remain active or accessible. All Short URLs are temporary and will automatically expire and be deleted after 30 days.
• Fitness for Purpose: We do not warrant that the Service is suitable for professional, medical, engineering, scientific, or financial use.
• No Professional Advice: The content and tools on this website are for informational purposes only. You should always double-check important calculations with a secondary source.

4. User-Generated Content and Sharing

If you use our features to create and share conversion lists ("User Content"):

• Ownership: You retain ownership of the data you input. However, by creating a Short URL, you grant UnitCoreTools a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display that data for the purpose of providing the redirect service.
• Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content of the lists you create and share. UnitCoreTools acts purely as a passive conduit for the transmission of this data.
• Expiration: You acknowledge and agree that your User Content will be permanently deleted from our servers 30 days after creation. We are not liable for any loss of data resulting from this automatic expiration.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Create lists or Short URLs that contain illegal, offensive, threatening, defamatory, or pornographic text/content.
• Disguise the origin of a link or use the Service for phishing, spamming, or spreading malware.
• Generate excessive traffic or load that disrupts the Service (e.g., bot-driven link generation).

Violation of this policy may result in the immediate deletion of your links and the blocking of your IP address without notice.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, UnitCoreTools and its developers shall NOT be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to:

• Damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses.
• The deletion, expiration, or failure to store any Short URL or User Content.
• Errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content or calculations.
• Any reliance placed by you on the completeness, accuracy, or existence of any result or link generated by the Service.

Specific Example: If you save a conversion list for a critical work project using a Short URL, and that link expires or is deleted, you agree that we are not responsible for your lost data.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless UnitCoreTools and its developers from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from:

• Your use of and access to the Service.
• The content of any list or Short URL you generate or share.
• Your violation of any term of these Terms of Service.

8. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. You agree that we shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
